Respect!!

RESPECT!!

What does respect mean.In Hay park school respect is one of our 3 values.

I can show respect by:

1. keeping my hands and feet to myself.
2. including other people in activities and games.
3. listening to the speaker.
4. using my inside voice.
5. working interdependently.
6. listening to instructions quickly.
7. shine.
8. be polite.
9. showing kindness.
10. Being honest.
11. helping others.
12. Disagreeing respectfully.   

   This term I will be working in clean up my learning space.                                           

Last Basketball session

Today we had our third session with Jhalal first we were playing golden child because we were waiting for Jahlal. When Jhalal arrived he told us to go on the yellow line and he numbered us I was number three and sione was number three two but he was on the other team.

Jhalal told us the instructions were after that he said whatever number that we were.
When he called my number I ran to the yellow line and touched it and ran back to Jhalal to get the but he tricked he he passed it to someone else so I chased sione until he passed it to teva.


Jhalal swapped me and put me in the other team so it could be easier. We still played until when It was teva turn he got the ball and ran to the hoop but Ashwin tripped him over really hard and sadly he had to leave and go to the sick bay in the office.

Then Jhalal stopped the game and we went to him he " good game guys good job hands in and one two three basketball and then we went back to our class and sat on the mat ready for learning.

I did a reflection on what we did when we were making our films and what we felt. I talked about What learnt, What we enjoyed, what was challenging and my advice to someone.

Duffy books

Yesterday Afternoon Mrs Eagleson gave out all the duffy books that we chose to keep for free, My two books that I got was Ant Man and the wasp and Tom gates they looked very cool.After that Gaylene gave out little bags of Lollies because It was her birthday and Rigg give me his because he didn't want it, I was lucky to get two goodie bags. When the bell rang I ran to my mum's car and started to read my books and eat my lollies and chocolate.I shared some with my family.



Now I finished Ant man and wasp, now I was to my next book Tom gates.   

Basketball training session two

Today our class went to our basketball training.Our class learnt new skills but I didn't learn anything new because I learnt those skills ages ago.Jhalal told us to buddy up with a partner and I partnered up with Brent because We didn't have any buddy, so yeah.

there were two line and the buddies have to line up on opposite line and facing each other,then Jhalal give us one ball and then he taught us all the new skills like over the head pass,chest pass,shoulder pass,bounce pass that was all the skills that we learnt but my favourite skill was the over the head pass Because I like throwing it high.

We played ball tag it was boys vs girls and the boys were the taggers and the girls had to run away from the boys. The boys got five girls out and it was swapped over and the girls were the taggers,the girls only got two people out and they only got two people out they weren't fast enough.

My next step is to practice these skills because I throw it weakly and I throw the ball somewhere else.

 

Basketball session

Today,

Williams class went to have their first basketball session.First The coaches name was Jennel. First we learnt to stance we learnt to stance because if you run with the ball and you stop you might fall over thats why Jennel taught that skill.The other skill that he taught is dribbling But I already knew how to dribble but I needed some practice.



When We finished doing the drills we played golden child. My team were the dribblers we had to dribble to the other side and if the shooters get it in while your running Jennel blows the whistle and you have to stop then it's the other person's turn to dribble down to the end.

When were still waiting for the other people to run to the other side we saw room 8 coming and I knew that Jennel was gonna stop the game,so he stopped the game and said good job hand in and he and williams class said one,two,three basketball and we all smiled after that, then we went back to the classroom.
